wolsey road: newington green, london
Completed in 2006, while working at Lipton Plant Architects, this extension and refurbishment of the lower ground floor of a terraced house in Newington Green transformed a series of small rooms into a large, open-plan living, kitchen and dining space. A near-frameless glass roof and bi-folding doors draw light deep into the kitchen. I worked closely with the client to create a contemporary aesthetic with modern, simple detailing, in contrast to the period features on the upper floors.
